CLUB TAREE
Kids in Charge
No doubt by now you know that our community means the world to us here at Club Taree.
We want to start nurturing the next generation of community mindedness and are pleased to launch our new “Kids in Charge” initiative.
Focusing on children who dine in The Greenwood we are offering them the opportunity to choose which of three local charities, organisations, teams, projects or associations will receive a donation from Club Taree.
Every three months three local not for profits will challenge each other to take home either a $1000, $500, or $250 from Club Taree, and it’s up to the kids dining in our restaurant to decide.
We have developed two characters, Amelia and Oliver to educate the kids one each of the potential recipients.
Amelia
Amelia is 8. She lives with her Mum and her younger sister.
Amelia loves dancing. She also plays hockey and likes to swim in the pool. Amelia has a pet fish called Rufus that she got for her birthday.
Amelia lives in Wingham.
Amelia’s favourite subject at school is sport.
Amelia likes to help her Pop on his garden, particularly his vegetable garden.
Her favourite food is fruit salad.
Oliver
Oliver is 7, nearly 8. He is the youngest in his family and has an older brother and an older sister as well as a dog named Banjo. Oliver has 14 cousins.
Oliver lives in Taree. He loves Cricket, the beach and learning new things.
Oliver doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up. His favourite subject at school is fast maths.
Oliver earns pocket money by collecting recycling bottles and cans that he collects from his neighbours and family.
